All three properties are adjacent to the Galloway Forest Park which also provides endless opportunities to experience a varied and dramatic landscape and a variation of walks to suit all abilities.

    The Southern Upland Way, Scotland’s 212 mile coast to coast footpath, passes through the Galloway Forest Park and whilst you may not intend to tackle the full length of this long distance route it is possible to walk certain or part sections, for further information contact Southernuplandwayholidays.com who also provide vehicle support and assistance along the route.


    walkers_350.jpg Airie Farm Cottage is situated along the old ‘Paddy’ line above Mossdale village and allows direct access to walking along this historic railway line as well as the Galloway Forest Park, where there are many walks including a 1.5 mile waterside walk along the Black Water of Dee. Walks within the Galloway Forest Park are well marked and offer an opportunity to view an abundance of wildlife including Otters, Red Kites plus many other birds of prey.

    Airie Farm Cottage is also the ideal property for dog lovers and the wide open spaces and variety of walks provide ample opportunity to exercise dogs all year round.
